Skyrim gets vampiric with Dawnguard expansion trailer
There’s an important decision to be made in the upcoming Skyrim expansion Dawnguard, as a short, pre-E3 trailer for the new content shows. As the narrator puts it: “You have found our fortress. You have returned my daughter. But what is it you seek? Is it to be one of us? To make the darkness your own? To feast on the souls of the living? … or are you with them, the Dawnguard?”
Yes, Dawnguard will offer players the option to become a floating, gnarled creature of the night, complete with the ability to transform into a flock of bats, or to join the titular fighting force and take out the undead threat. We also get our first glimpse of a new crossbow weapon type, which had been previously hinted at through some interestingly named patch files for the game. Those files also made reference to a Snow Elf Prince that doesn’t seem to be a factor in the new trailer.
